Azimuth Development Group is a full service development firm specializing in the construction of both affordable and market rate housing. The firm was founded in 2009 and since has launched the development of over 1,000,000 square feet of mixed use developments across Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. Azimuth’s proven track record and strong relationship with community leaders positions the firm to be a leader in the industry.
Guido Subotovsky is the founder and President of Azimuth Development Group. Guido has extensive experience in the development of multifamily housing in the New York City metropolitan area, having participated in the planning, development and construction of more than 1,500 units of both market rate and affordable housing since 2006. Up until 2009, Guido served as a senior associate with an up and coming developer based in New York City. Guido was involved in every phase of residential development; from site acquisition, planning, financing, construction, to residential and retail leasing. Guido has most recently been involved with affordable housing projects that had multiple layers of government and private financing including federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, tax exempt bonds, HPD’s Inclusionary Housing program and various low interest loan programs. Guido is a graduate of the University of Buffalo, where he studied Communication and Business.
In 2009 Guido formed Azimuth Development Group. Since its inception, Azimuth has put over 1,000 units of housing into development along with over 100,000 square feet of commercial and community facility space. Financing at these projects was provided through a combination of public and private sources including the New York City Housing Development Corporation and Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
Mr. Subotovsky also has strong banking relationships, having financed in excess of $300,000,000 in development with various lending institutions. While Mr. Subotovsky ‘s earlier acquisitions focused on the affordable housing sector, recent projects have been acquired in emerging areas such as East and West Harlem, where he has engaged in the development of several multifamily rental and condominium developments, most of which include a community facility component.
